Diana Weston ~ Options Recovery
The Ripple Effect of Change: Rehabilitative Programming Inside California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR)
Synopsis: When one person changes, nothing around them is untouched. The Ripple Effect of Change with Rehabilitative Programming inside CDCR spotlights the Occupational Mentor Certification Program (OMCP)—a proven, life-changing pathway. In a therapeutic learning environment, trauma-informed, high-caliber instruction, mentorship, exam-readiness sprints, and coordinated reentry supports create outsized impact—from the individual and their family to the housing unit, yards, facility, and community. Using real workflows (treatment → education → practicum → exam → internship → certification), we map the chain reaction: engagement → completions → certifications → job entry → family and community stability. Participants transform their own futures—and those around them—by becoming professional healers who live their amends.
